AQuRA Horizon Europe project kickoff

Before the close of 2022, we are pleased to announce the start of another R&D project at Menlo. At the beginning of December project “AQuRA” - Advanced Quantum Clock for Real World Applications – kicked off, bringing together partners from six European countries, aiming to bring quantum atomic clocks from the lab and into the real world.

The leading consortium is formed of the University of Amsterdam, NKT Photonics, iXblue, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, the Uniwesytet Mikolaja Kopernika w Toruniu, QuiX Quantum BV, Vexlum Oy, and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, and Menlo Systems.

Within the project, we are leading the design, engineering and integration of the AQuRA clock, and will develop an advanced ultra-stable laser system. We are excited to continue providing enabling technologies to bring quantum tech into the real world!
