New Features 2017

Description

Menlo Systems has been the first supplier of fiber coupled THz-TDS systems at 1.5 µm and is the sole supplier of the OSCAT technology. With flexibility and spirit of innovation we will find a solution for your application.

New generation THz-TDS systems: >5 THz bandwidth and >90 dB SNR
All our THz-TDS systems with optomechanical scanning unit, such as the TERA K15, TERA SYNC, and TeraSmart, from now on provide an increased spectral bandwidth of >5 THz and increased signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of >90 dB. Due to their high flexibility and versatility of design, our THz-TDS systems are the first choice for large variety of applications, allowing a high degree of customization.

TERA ASOPS – High Speed THz Scanning
We have integrated our ASOPS technique for for electronic high speed scanning into our latest TERA ASOPS THz-TDS system. Without any mechanically moving parts, a large scanning range of nanoseconds is available, increasing the spectral resolution. The scientific platform design is nonetheless a turn-key system with intuitive and user-friendly software, offering versatile options such as THz imaging or additional optical output ports.

TeraSmart - the new OEM solution
With TeraSmart we have released a new OEM THz time domain spectrometer. By decreasing size and complexity and at the same time increasing performance in all relevant parameters like bandwidth, scan speed, and remote control capability, we have created an industry-proven stand-alone single-unit device, engineered for 24/7 operation. See the TeraSmart product page for more details.

System remote control
Our THz-TDS systems are equipped with a TCP socket interface allowing platform-independent remote control and high-speed data transfer over ethernet connections for seamless integration into existing experiments or in industrial nondestructive testing (NDT) environments.

Hyperspectral image data analysis
Our TERA Image extension for THz imaging is now provided with the hyperspectral image processing tool ImageLab. The software is based on statistical methods for the analysis and classification of hyperspectral images, and allows merging them with maps of physical properties and conventional high-resolution color photos. The basic edition can be extended by optional add-ons.
